As the holiday season kicks off, Uber is adding a touch of festive magic to its services by introducing a “festive fleet” of charter buses adorned with twinkle lights, photo props, karaoke, and more. From December 11 to 17, lucky Uber Charter customers in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., can enjoy the holiday-themed experience for groups of up to 27 riders.

For those not in these cities, Uber is spreading the joy by offering a 10 percent discount on any Uber Charter booking made through December 17 using the promo code “FESTIVE10.” While the cost of an Uber Charter trip depends on factors such as date, location, and itinerary, an average four-hour trip on a larger bus in Los Angeles typically ranges between $1,000 and $1,500.

Sean Pritchard, the operations lead for Uber Charter, emphasized the joy of celebrating together during the holidays, making the festive charters an exciting option for group outings.

In addition to the holiday-themed charters, Uber is introducing the Store Pickup feature via Uber Connect. This feature allows customers to purchase items from local stores, upload receipts, and schedule a courier to pick up and deliver the items, simplifying holiday shopping.

To add to the festive spirit, Uber is collaborating with celebrities like Luann de Lesseps from The Real Housewives and actor Christopher Briney. Customers can explore celebrity-curated collections or find classic favorites like flowers in the Gift Hub within the Uber Eats app.
